National Neighborhood Night Out
We live in a great neighborhood. Honestly, if it wasn't for the weather here, this is a place I could happily stay a long time. (The disgusting hot, humid non-stop disgusting weather has me running for the hills mostly though). Last night our little section of the neighborhood had our block party and it was such a great time. Very cool getting to meet neighbors we've never met before- and the kids just had an absolute blast. I'm not sure how many people showed up, beat guess maybe 15-20 families. Matthew never stopped running the whole night, thus he was one sweaty, dirty, and very happy boy at the end of the night.
Caleb's new baby!
Caleb is seriously obsessed with babies. Everywhere we go he is pointing out babies and wants to see them. I decided to buy him a baby for himself, maybe try to teach him how to be gentle with them.
He was pretty mesmerized by his new friend.
We're still working on gentle. Clearly tossing him across the room or dumping him on the kitchen floor does not meet criteria.
Weekend!
This weekend Mike had to work, so the boys and I just hung out together. We sported our Cowboys shirts Sunday (too bad it didn't help them win), went to the gym where they played in the child care while I swam laps, then had a lunch date together in the cafe there.
