cough, cough

We're sick. Well, Matthew and I- seems thus far Mike is doing fine. I woke up 3 days ago with a miserable sore throat, that has now turned into a cough with body aches. Good times. Matthew woke up yesterday with an awful cough. Today it's accompanied by quite the snotty nose. We had a play date on Friday, only to receive a call a few days later that the sweet boy we were playing with has RSV. Honestly, it's very common and even if that's what it is, a lot of times it's just mild. Matthew sounds bad, but he's still smiling and playing, which to me, signify that he's feeling ok. A little bit extra clingy, and yesterdays usual 45 minute nap lasted a whopping 2 1/2 hours (!), but besides that, he played his little heart out. Haven't taken too many pictures this week- but here's a few.

Matthew shows off his new toy. I found it for $10 on craigslist (it ranges $35-45 in the stores). It's used, but you really can hardly tell. He LOVES it.

Matthew proving that, yes, you can in fact use a dog to help you stand up.

Matthew's new way of protesting a nap. Kind of hard to sleep when all you want to do is stand.

The week in pictures

Much easier to get my toys out now. ..and then throw them all over the floor.
He figured out if he goes around to the back of the bouncy seat, he can, indeed, stand up.
"Excuse me, Mommy? Is this PEAS you're feeding me?!?"
Feeding the ducks at the park. I think they liked our bread.

Weee!!! I like to swing!
Hi.

Blanket Exploration

"I think I'd probably like to pull this blanket down off the couch."
"Hey, wait. This isn't exactly what I had in mind."
"Easy. I'll just pull the blanket off my head."
"Umm...I think I made it worse."
"AHH! Where am I?!?!?" (insert screaming bloody murder here)
"Peek-a-boo!"
"Oh, hi Daddy."

Life as I know it is over....

He's on the move!! And it's crazy. He is now going room to room- I set him down with his toys in the living room and suddenly he's next to me in the office. I put him in his room, he crawls out to the laundry room.

Uh oh.

HERE's a little video of him crawling. As you will be able to see at the end, the crawling is just a means to the end. He really, really just wants to stand. He goes to the bouncy seat to try and stand up, but it's too low. It's pretty cute to watch him try though.

Another silly hat for Babci

(I believe we have cousin KC to thank for this hat--we enjoy his "gently used" silly hats!)
